Comments: Odette Elina, born September 28, 1910 in the 3rd arrondissement of Paris and died May 29, 1991 in Mougins1, is a French painter and writer involved in the French Internal Resistance who experienced deportation. A Communist, from a family of Jewish origin, she joined the Resistance in 1940. Arrested on April 20, 1944, she was deported to Auschwitz by Convoy No. 72 of April 29, 1944. Returning from the camps, she published a collection of notes accompanied by drawings and set about testifying. In particular, she was a member of the National Bureau of the National Federation of Resistant and Patriotic Deportees and Internees, a member of the National Association of Former Resistance Deportees and Internees and French secretary of the International Auschwitz Committee.
