How to Shop for Chairs, Sofas, Benches & Other Seating Online at Work of Man

Without a doubt, Work of Man’s collection of quality antique seating far surpasses any other in Los Angeles and quite possibly the West Coast. Sifting through such a vast 8,000 item art & antique inventory (over 1,500 items in just our Seating category alone) can seem daunting until you become familiar with the search and filter capabilities of our website. 

First is the simple search using the search bar at the top of every page. Say you’re looking for a specific manufacturer and type of modern seating - examples from our inventory include:

Second, is the filtering through the various seating categories noted above - It’s easy - hover your mouse over the “Furniture” category in the main navigation menu at the top of every page and all of the “Seating”  sub categories will appear as the second column:

Also, important to note: If you are shopping for sets of dining chairs, you have one additional filtering feature to save you time. Once you’ve chosen “Sets of Chairs” in the Seating category column, the left margin filtering menu gives you the option to select the number of chairs in your set of chairs. So if you’re shopping for a set of 10 chairs, click on “10 Chairs in Set” and only those sets with 10 chairs will be displayed. 

Third is the filtering through the age and the many styles of furniture represented in the Work of Man collection. After choosing a seating category look over to the left side and you will see further filtering tools allowing you to select only those items of a certain age and / or  only those items of a certain style. So if you’re searching for say a set of 6 antique dining chairs in the Louis XIV, Louis XV or Louis XVI furniture style you will very quickly get to a list of only those sets that meet your criteria.
