Macrum was born in Pittsburgh, PA in 1876. He attended the Art Students League in New York City. Macrum was a teacher, a member of the Allied Artists of America, the Woodstock Art Association, and the Philadelphia Art Club. New York City served as the subject matter for his harbor scenes and other urban genre paintings. He Died in 1970.
