Comments: Aurelia Wheeler Reid was born January 21, 1876 in Beeckman, Duchess County, New York and died in 1969 in Los Angeles California. She was known as a painter, craftsperson, sculptor and writer. Reid attended the Cooper Union, Columbia University, UCLA, Otis Art Institute, and Académie Delecluse (Paris). She settled in Los Angeles in the early 1920s and for many years was a resident of San Pedro. She died in Los Angeles on Oct. 9, 1969.
