Comments: Arnold Blanch (1896 - 1968) Born in Mantorville, Minnesota in 1896 Arnold Branch became a muralist for the Federal Art Project in the 1930's. He attended the Minneapolis School of Arts as well as the Art Students League in New York City. Branch was also a teacher at the Colorado Fine Arts Center in Colorado Springs. He died in Woodstock, NY in October 1968. This painting dates to 1929. The engraved plaque identifies the painting as being a gift by the artist's wife, Ms. Lucile Blanch, to The Wichita State University Endowment Association Art Collection. A tag on the back also identifies the painting being in the collection of the Edwin A. Ulrich Museum of Art.
