Comments on This Artist: Elizabeth Hunt Barret painted around Sweet Briar College which is just outside of Lynchburg Virginia.  She and her husband would show their art to potential buyers when the parents came to visit there. The Sweet Briar College collection includes several of her paintings as well.  She is buried in Tarrytown NY and has New York subjects as well.  She also travelled to France.She exhibited with the American Watercolor Society and the  Art Institute of Chicago.
