Note: This table is currently undergoing our in house restoration. Progress photos have and will be posted to show the various stages as restoration progresses. The existing finish is a shellac finish which will be scrubbed with a pumice mixture to remove all old wax and dirt and to smooth out any imperfections. Next the shellac finish will be touched up by adding several additional then coats via french polishing. After allowing for the shellac to completely dry the top surface will be give 2 - 3 coats of a durable varnish to protect the table top from staining (shellac stains very easy with moisture). After allowing the varnish to thoroughly dry the top surface will be rubbed down and polished and then waxed. The table top apron and legs are in great condition and will simply be cleaned and waxed.
