Comments: George Macrum (Born 1878 Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania - Died 1970 Sloatsburg, New York. Known for his Urban Genre, Landscape and Harbor paintings. He studied at the Art Students League under Frank DuMond and Birge Harrison. He was both a painter and a teacher. He exhibited at: Whitney Museum of American Art, the Pennsylvania Academy 1908-18, 1928-31, 1936; Corcoran Gallery biennials, 1910-28 (4 times); Appalachian Expo, Knoxville, TN, 1911 (gold); SC, 1914 (prize); Panama Pacific Expo, San Francisco, 1915 (medal)
