Comments: Edward Hopkinson Sr. (1850 - 1935) was a direct descendent of Francis Hopkinson (1737 - 1790), Philadelphia, Signer of the Declaration of Indepependence. This portrait painting along with that of Edward Hopkinson Jr (see AW806) descended through the Hopkinson family before they were auctioned off in 2020.
